Here are some details on Friedrich and his line. I welcome any corrections or questions that people may have.

Friedrich was born about 1859 in Kurgany. He married Wilhelmina Draeger about 1882, also in Kurgany. His brother Wilhelm married a Karolina Draeger. I have often wondered if the two women were sisters. Friedrich and Wilhelmina had at least six children that I know of.

1) Adolph Johann - born in Kurgany December 18, 1882. Other than his birth I have found no other information about him.
2) Amalie Mathilda - born in Kurgany September 27, 1885. She married Adolph Kletke about 1906. In May of 1912 she left home to join her husband in Canada. He had gone ahead some time previously but I don't know when. On her trip Mathilda travelled with her brother Gottlieb. Amalie and Adolph had 13 children and spent their lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Mathilda died January 8, 1957.
3) Lydia - born in Kurgany about 1886. She left for Canada in June 1911. I have not found a spouse yet for her.
4) Otilia - born in Kurgany about 1887. She arrived in Canada in 1904 and married George Drevant in 1906. They had four children.
5) Gottlieb - born in Kurgany on May 6, 1888. Gottlieb is my grandfather and first travelled to North America in 1906. He lived in New York with his uncle (Friedrich's brother), Wilhelm. In September 1909 he travelled back home to Kurgany where he stayed for a few years. He returned in May 1912 with his sister Mathilda. They went to Winnipeg where Mathilda was reunited with her husband Adolph. On December 12, 1914 Gottlieb married Florentina Gottschalk. They lived in Winnipeg for a few years and then moved to the province of Saskatchewan, Canada where they lived near the town of Springside. They had eight children, one of whom was my father. Gottlieb died January 12, 1956 in British Columbia, Canada after being hit by a car.
6) Friedrich - born in Kurgany about 1892. He left for North America, arriving in New York in 1910. In 1912 he came to Canada. In 1921 he married Elsie Ross in a place called The Pas, Manitoba. I do not know how many children they may have had.

That's it for now.

Garth
