Antonovka and/or Buchholz family
(07.03.2003 - 13:24)
I am searching for some informations about the place of birth of my grandmother Emma Divisch, born as Buchholz, who was born at Antonovka in the district of Shitomir. Emma Buchholz was born 13.2.1895 in Antonovka (Wolhynia) and died 2.11.1966 in Vienna.
She was the daughter of Josef and Augustina Buchholz, who were farmers. They were all lutherans and came to Wolhynia about beginning to mid of 19th century.
I would like to ask you to provide me some informations about this village and maybe some informations about the family Buchholz, if somewhere available.
My grandmother, as a wolhynian german, was deported at the beginning of the WW1 to Petropavlovsk (present Kasachstan), where she married Josef Divisch (captured austrian-hungarian soldier) and went with him during the Russian Revolution to Znaim (Moravia-Czech Republik).
My mother told me, that there should be some relatives in Amerika, because the family recieved tickets during the twenties, but they did not take the possibilty to emigrate to US or Canda (?).From other relatives, who stayed at or better came back to Wolhynia, nothing is known.
Emma Divisch, born Buchholz had three children: Ferdinand Divisch (his family lives at Berlin), Ludmilla Meister (my Mother) and a second dauther, who died before 1930.
