Every village & town will change Euros (also Polish Zl, Russian Roubles, Pounds Sterling,) into UKR "Hr". Exchange Rate this am (3rd May 2006) was 630 Hr per ?100 buying and 640/?100 selling. - MUCH better than your credit card will give you.

However cards are convenient and almost every town and large village have banks with cash machines accepting Maestro, Master Card, Visa etc)

Almost all hotels (3 star and above) accept credit cards.

Major restaurants accept cards - best to take Euros in cash, convert (say) ?100, topping up whenever necessary - Tip: - use cards where possible and use cash where necessary.
