Hi! I have been looking into the Krause family in Volhynia (places of interest = Kopan, Karolinka, Rowno, Rozyscze). I am looking into this birth record discrepancy and was hoping for some assistance.

The heads of the family are Gottfried Krause and Katherine Piech (b.1854, d.1931). One of their children is Karoline Krause (b. 1876, Kopan). There are two birth records for her with two different mothers but still indicate the same date.

In doing some research into Rosine Weiss, it appears she may have married Michael Krause in 1862, Rozyszce. I do know Gottfried had other children with Katherine Piech around the same time (Johann Krause 1871, Anna Krause 1872, Karl Krause 1874, Emilie Krause 1887), but I have very minimal information on Gottfried himself. I would appreciate any assistance, thank you!
