Hallo Dieter Beutel,

I think that Emma Rossol was my great-grandmother - she came to Denmark in 1913 and lived for many years in the southern part of DK where German was spoken!
Enter her name in the Danish Immigration ardchives - and read a little more : http://ddd.dda.dk/immibas/immibas2.asp
Her date of birth is registred as dec. 10 1890 - not dec. 1.
Her title is "husholderske" which means she took care of the householding of a larger house.

She met my great-grandfather Marius Lund - they were to get married, even though his parents didn´t approve. However, before having the oppotunity to marry - he was sent, by the Germans - despite of being Danish, to fight in WW1 in France.

My grandfather was born after he left - and Marius Lund never saw his son as he fell in the war.
My grandfather was given the name Marius Lund after his father - and surname "Rossell" according to his birth certificate - which was written by a Danish midwife - probably not being able to understand Emma´s poor Danish. Emma didn´t know how to read or write. The only papers Emma brought from Wolynia were her Konfirmations-papieren from her church in Nadeshdapol / Nadziezdopol.

I can send You a copy of this! - it is difficult to read - but maybe easiere for you since it is in German.

I have a little more information about Emma Rossol´s life in Denmark - I can write you a summary if you are interested? I would like to know much more about the Rossol´s from Poland and Wolynia from you!!

Regards,
Janne Rossell

Hello Janne,

Thank you for the tip to the whereabouts of Emma Rossol. I have never had the idea that Emma has left already in 1913 Wolhynien. I also do not know what from her parents and brothers and sisters has become. Maybe these have also gone to Denmark?

In the appendix you find the baptismal entry of Emma, referring to her parents. It is right Emma is born on the 10th December, 1890.

The father of Emma, Michael belongs to my family forefather. The family comes from the villages settled by Germans on the Vistula. These are to be found in the church register by Gombin. My oldest proof is up to now from 1765.

If desired I can do other information. I myself am interested in all information and papers by Emma.

Kind regards
