Hamburger Immigration

I have discovered that the website, http://linktoyourroots.hamburg.de has lots of names of people of german/russian background on its index. For example I found a Julius Wegner from Pommern migrating to Rio de Janiero. The index is free to search but you have to pay to get more detailed information, but it might be worth it. Does anyone have any knowledge of what information one is likely to get for the money. Thanks
